Support Gaudenzia
Volunteer Opportunities

In the beginning, the daily functioning of Gaudenzia’s programs depended solely on contributions from the community. It is the support of the community that has brought Gaudenzia into the expansive and comprehensive network of services it is today.

Gaudenzia is always seeking volunteers who, through their involvement
and enthusiasm, can assist us with our mission.

"Several years ago I was looking for the “right” agency to volunteer for.
A friend of mine asked me to get involved in building a playground. I visited the agency and found that I could best use my time helping them with their $1.1 million capital campaign.

I agreed to be co-chair of the campaign primarily because I saw
a truly outstanding agency with
high quality employees and programs. It did not take long to recruit a campaign community as other
people were equally impressed.

The campaign was a success due to the dedication and outstanding work
of the volunteers and the generous financial support from the community and local and state governments. I agreed to continue working on the agency’s Advisory Board and help in any way I can to make this truly remarkable agency even better. I
am confident that I made the “right" choice.”

Jim Wellendorf
Volunteer Co-Chair of Capital Campaign

"I have been a Gaudenzia volunteer
since 1996, devoting some of my
efforts to special events like the
Annual Dinner/Auction Fundraiser.
The greatest satisfaction I have found
is volunteering in any way that will
help change the lives of men, women and children who are going through
Gaudenzia’s many programs.
Gaudenzia helps them regain their self-
esteem and become better human
beings, family members and productive members of their
communities and I am proud to help in
anyway I can."

Gene Veneziale
Vice-Chairman, Gaudenzia Inc. Board of Directors

"Working with the women and children is a way that I can give back to the community and let them know that there are many people who care.”

"I find that each time I have the
pleasure of spending an evening with the women and children of the Gaudenzia program in which I volunteer, I gain as much from the
experience as I hope the residents do.

The strength of the Gaudenzia program shows in the excitement, appreciation and respect exhibited by all of the residents and I find myself thanking them for sharing their lives and their beautiful children with me.

I enjoy working on the Advisory Board and managing volunteers, but the true satisfaction comes from participating in the lives of these women and children."

benefit auctions, open houses
and more.

Program volunteers can personally make a difference in the lives of the men, women and children trying to
achieve a better quality
of life.
